Just remember that all dogs deal with stress in the same 3 ways, this isn’t just a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever behavior. The 3 stress responses are Fight – Flight or Freeze, males are more likely to respond with fight while females will tend to respond with flight. I would desensitize the stress factor with lots of exposure; they can also be train how to react to the stress factors.

Example: if your dog is nervous around certain object and starts to bark or wants to run away, teach them the “Check it out” command encourage them to explore the situation, show them that it’s ok you can even turn the situation to play.
